Death row inmates get temporary reprieve from the governor
Due in part to new protocols on lethal injection, Ohio Governor John Kasich on Friday cleared the state’s 2015 calendar of all scheduled executions. (The state announced earlier this month that it would no longer use drugs that were part of the process in a pair of messy executions last year.) In total, there are now 11 people scheduled to be executed by the state in 2016. (jj)
