Time names Person of the Year; who would Columbus choose?

Time Magazine today announced German Chancellor Angela Merkel as their choice for Person of the Year. The magazine listed her response to crises with the Ukraine, Syrian refugees and Greek debt as just a few examples as to why they’ve singled her out for distinction.
