With Ohio State preparing to take on Oregon next week for the national title, the Northwestern city of Oregon, Ohio (pop. 20,291) wants there to be no mistake. They support the Buckeyes. With support growing in the community for something to be done about the possible conflict of interest involving the city’s name, the mayor has now made a change. “Oregon, Ohio” will now be known as “Orego, Ohio Buckeyes on the Bay, City of Duck Hunters.” According to Mayor Michael Seferian, this change will last exactly one week, with the city reverting to its old name at the conclusion of next week’s game.
