CD102.5 owner goes on-air to answer million dollar questions

614now Staff

randyAt the halfway point of their 60-day Indiegogo campaign, radio station CD102.5 continues to beat the drum of their crowdfunding effort. The station has set a goal of $1 million to help them purchase their broadcast license or, at minimum, to be in a stronger position to renegotiate their current lease when that time comes. At present, they have raised just over $115,000…and the campaign continues. CD102.5’s challenge has reached the attention of media outlets inside and outside of the Buckeye State. And they’ve earned the support of many top artists in alternative music including the Foo Fighters, Death Cab for Cutie, Walk the Moon and even Andrew WK (who as we all know likes to “party hard”).

Wednesday night, CD102.5 owner Randy Malloy took to the airwaves to personally field and answer questions from the station’s audience. Among them:

  • Did the radio station consider other options to raise the needed money?
  • What happens if they hit their $1 million goal?
  • What happens if they don’t?
  • Will CD102.5 ever stream again?

The audio from that broadcast has now been posted online.  (jj)
