130829-EdwardSharpe0050For many area residents, the venue has only ever been known as “the LC” or “Lifestyle Communities Pavilion.” But when it first opened its doors in 2001, it was PromoWest Pavilion. It wasn’t until 2005 that Lifestyle Communities signed on as a partner and acquired the naming rights. That 10-year relationship ends at the end of this month.

The apartment / housing developer and the concert production company (PromoWest) have announced the conclusion of the naming rights connection.

This [the partnership] has been an extraordinary step in the building of our brand. We’re proud of what ‘LC’ has come to stand for and the role this partnership has played in bringing us closer to our residents and music fans in Columbus.

– Michael DeAscentis, Jr., CEO of Lifestyle Communities

PromoWest’s Scott Steineker also has positive reflections on the last ten years:

Lifestyle Communities has grown to represent innovative neighborhoods that connect people to each other and the things they enjoy most, and we have equally grown our brand, attracting national sponsors and expanding our live entertainment offering with additional venues and music festivals.

PromoWest says that they hope to announce a new naming-rights partner for the venue within the next few weeks.  (jj)
