…and the results are in
It’s that time of year again, when we all stand around and wait for a tiny little animal to pop out of the ground. Will the groundhog predict six more weeks of winter, or will he bring tidings of spring soon to come?
Well, it depends on whose prediction you chose. Punxsutawney Phil, the famed groundhog that pretty much is the “official” emblem of the day, says we should expect six more weeks of winter. Around 7:24 a.m., he came out of his lair, saw his shadow, and went back inside. But around 7:40 a.m., Ohio’s own Buckeye Chuck had a different weather forecast. He didn’t see his shadow – which means spring is on its way.
And while I do love cocooning myself in blankets, I think I’m gonna stick with Buckeye Chuck’s prediction: Spring is right around the corner! (deb)
See ya later, winter! No shadow means spring is right around the corner. #earlyspring #groundhogday #takethatphil
