Buddy Walk to benefit Down Syndrome Association happening Sunday
The Columbus Buddy Walk returns this weekend.
The event this Sunday is an annual fundraiser for the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio. (In 2014, an estimated $14 million was raised through Buddy Walks across the country.)
An expected 5,000 people will take part in the walk around MAPFRE stadium…home to the Columbus Crew SC. Other events around the walk include a raffle and activities for the kids and family.
Registration for the walk is $21 and participants will receive a FREE t-shirt. Participation for individuals with Down Syndrome is FREE.
Online sign-ups end at 3pm on Friday 9/25. Those wanting to take part can also register in-person at the event on Sunday. (jj)
