City considers $15 million tax break for Nationwide Children’s Hospital
Administrators at Nationwide Children’s Hospital recently told Columbus City Council that they would be creating nearly 1,700 new jobs by 2024. This…as the hospital continues work on a $189 million renovation and expansion. And now, it looks as if City Council may have good news in return. Members will consider today a request from Children’s for a $15 million tax break. The allowance would be a 15-year reduction.

Anyone who has been in the downtown area around Nationwide Children’s Hospital in recent years can attest to the massive amount of development happening on and around the hospital campus. Children’s is in the midst of $189 million worth of development and renovations. And with all of the additions and work being done, more jobs are to follow.
