Clothing Underground making moves on campus
Clothing Underground, the new and recycled fashion shop on campus, will soon be switching storefronts. Owner Josh Harden has had his store at 1898 North High for just over two years, but has been looking for the opportunity to move. Josh says that his business is expanding and he needs more space. Plus, with changes coming to the area near the Wexner Center, he speculates that small businesses could be pushed out. So, he has been looking for an opportunity to jump.
He’s found that opportunity just down the road at 1652 North High Street…sight of the former Puff N Stuff store. Josh says that the new location gives him almost twice as much room as the old storefront and, with just a few renovations, he’ll be ready to go. Opening day for the new Clothing Underground is set for August 1st.
Word is that Josh’s first customers at the old store were members of the band Cold War Kids. Checking the concert schedule, the band Primus will be in town the same day as the opening of the new Clothing Underground. Maybe they’ll stop by too. No promises. (jj)
