Cravings Carryout Cafe preps for rushed relocation
Cravings Carryout Cafe (227 East 3rd Ave) is prepping for a hurried move. The abrupt relocation is not by choice and, at the moment, they don’t know where they’re headed.
A message posted on the business’ website and Facebook page says that Cravings was recently informed by their landlord that their lease would not be renewed. According to the cafe, they’ve been given little time to vacate.
After almost 4 years in business, we received notification from our landlord, The New Victorians, that they will not be renewing our lease and we have to be out of the building by the end of September. We have not received any explanation as to the reason for this decision. Our last day in business on 3rd Avenue will be Sunday, September 13, in order to have time to remove all the equipment and have the space ready to turn in the keys. We need to find a new home as soon as humanly possible. – Cravings Carryout Cafe
Cravings says that they’ve been in contact with local realtors but, despite being open to moving to any neighborhood, they’ve so far found nothing that would work for their relocation. They say that they are open to suggestions and are soliciting ideas from their loyal customers. (jj)
