Crowdfunding Spotlight: Reincardnated

Generally, this is someone who has ideas and goals for a product or service, but needs a bit of a boost. These folks turn to crowdfunding and we help to get the word out.

This week, we look at Reincardnated.

Reincardnated is a 2- to 4-person card game developed by Findlay native / Columbus resident Taylor Doolittle. Gameplay sees players incarnating through various beings in an effort to fulfill their life purpose and obtain the human form. Taylor describes the origin and “evolution” of the game:

Reincardnation has been an incredibly fun work in progress! It began one night, [I was] trying to fall asleep when the inspiration hit. I quickly scribbled down the thought, which was really nothing at the time and began to revisit it over and over throughout the year. With time, it grew into something that I could actually sit at home and play. With some more time, it evolved, and began to come to life on its own. The cards fell together, strategy rapidly grew, and soon it was working like a champ!

Taylor’s videos demonstrate the game’s play. It takes roughly 15 minutes per play to go through an individual round of Reincardnated.

The individual cards feature beautiful images from illustrator / Kung-Fu black belt Charli Vince.

If his Kickstarter goal is met, Taylor plans to use the funding to ensure the illustrations and to ready the game for distribution.  (jj)
