Delivery Bell Grande!

Delivery Bell Grande!

Yum Brands, the parent company of Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and KFC, thinks that customers want to see more than just pizza showing up at their door. They think that you’re ready for chalupas and gorditas.

Yum says that they’re ready to begin testing the concept of Taco Bell delivery with some of their best customers…college kids. So far, they’ve not announced which campuses have been designated for the delivery test run. Obvious questions will need to be answered before the company decides to expand the service. Does delivery enhance revenue? What’s a minimum price point for the option? (When a number of your menu items cost less than $2, you’ve got to set some sort of line.) For customers, one major concern will be Taco Bell’s ability to keep food crisp and fresh until it reaches your door. Nobody likes a soggy crunchy taco!

Yum says that they’re also considering KFC delivery. The company’s CEO says that chicken travels well in those famous Kentucky Fried Chicken buckets.  (jj)
