Business First reports that the Hilton Columbus Downtown is about see $500,000 worth of renovations. For a hotel that just opened in 2012, that seems like a lot. But the changes in store are in response to guest demands.
Guests of the 532-room Hilton have consistently complained about noise from the hotel’s Gallerie bar and restaurant. With the design of the hotel, that noise carries straight up, disturbing some guests just as they’re starting to rest their wittle heads on their soft pillows for the start of a good night’s sleep.
Hilton’s new designs (not yet complete) should soften that volume so as not to inconvenience guests who just want to get some rest. (jj)
