Employees get crafty in response to Wet Seal lay-offs and closings
The clothing retailer, Wet Seal, has been doling out store cuts because of financial pressures. Bloomberg reports that Wet Seal has until Jan. 12 to settle with its major creditor on a default notice on its debt.
And employees are none too happy about how the clothing retailer is handling things. Wet Seal gave them very little information or warnings about job cuts and lots of stores have seen protest signs go up in the windows.
According to this thread on Reddit, the stores in Dayton Mall and Tuttle Crossing Mall put up these signs (but the one at Tuttle had been taken down by the time Business First checked it out on Tues.).
Twitter has also been a space for employee protests with the hashtags: #forgetwetseal and #boycottwetseal.
