Fast food workers stage rallies across the country today for higher pay

Screen Shot 2015-11-10 at 10.20.13 AMProtests and rallies have been announced in 270 cities across the nation today as fast food workers demand that the national minimum wage be raised to $15 per hour.

The events are being spearheaded by an organization called Fight For $15. In Ohio where the minimum wage is $8.10 per hour, events are expected to take place in Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati and other cities around the state.

Organizers say that there aren’t enough good jobs available and that they are demanding a living wage for everyone. With their rallies today, they hope to get the attention of the 2016 presidential candidates.  (jj)
