Student indicted for fatal stabbing near Campus

Alexander Delap was indicted on two counts of murder by a Grand Jury for the (alleged) fatal stabbing of John Snyder. He returns to court later this week (March 13), and if found guilty, could face 15 years to life in prison.

Earlier this month (March 1), police were called to Summit St. and Northwood Ave just after 3AM on a reported stabbing. They found Synder, who was taken to Wexner Medical where he later died.

Fatal stabbing near Campus

Last night, a fatal stabbing took place near OSU campus. According to police, around 3:00 AM yesterday, officers went to Summit and E Northwood Ave. after a report of a stabbing. They found John Austin Snyder, who was taken to Wexner Medical Center; where he later died.  Detectives say that an earlier fight at a High St. bar started the incident that led to Snyder’s stabbing. Alexander Delap was arrested and and charged with Snyder’s murder.
