It’s smooth sailing, er driving, from now on
Driving’s about to get a little easier starting this weekend. On Sunday, and going until March 28th, the city will spend 24hrs-a-day patching potholes – every pothole. The city is hoping to patch all reported potholes, but needs residents to report them. The city will then take a break from the all day/all night approach, and fill potholes from March 29 to April 19 with 7:30AM to 4:00PM shifts (plus some overnighters from Sun -Wed). (deb)
Reporting potholes:
- Columbus Public Service’s Facebook page
- Tweet @ColumbusDPS
- Call the city’s 311 Customer Service Center, 645-3111
- Online at www.311.columbus.gov
- MyColumbus mobile app
When reporting potholes, list:
- name of the street where the pothole is
- address of a home or business near the pothole
- direction of travel where the pothole is
- what lane the pothole is in on, if on a multi-lane road

Holey! Holey! Holey! for Columbus roads
Because of all the warmer weather we’ve had, it’s been ALOT easier to notice something: potholes. Columbus road crews are reporting that they’ve filled more potholes this winter than last year. And having filled about 19,600 potholes since November, I’d say that’s a lot a chipped and cracked roadway. (deb)
