It’s been a pricey winter wonderland

Buckeye Chuck might have predicted an end to winter, but it seems like Columbus wasn’t having any of it. Last month (Feb) was the second coldest on record. And aside from the below freezing temperatures, we’ve seen over 16 inches of snow and about 25,000 tons* of salt used. And that means one thing. Big bucks. This year, the city’s spent a little over $5 million on snow and ice maintenance.
Basically, I think we can agree that one thing is certain: we are definitely ready for warmer weather. (deb)
