Lightning up the night sky

Mother Nature has been putting on a light show most of this week, as severe thunderstorms roll through Ohio and the midwest. Last night, strong winds knocked over several (large) trees in areas like Clintonville, where a tree fell onto a power line around 1AM at Wahalla and Brynhild Rd. Crews were quick to the scene and the tree, which was also blocking the road, was cleared around 5AM.

Ohio was also on alert last night after reports of a tornado touching down in Walbridge (Toledo area). No injuries or deaths have been reported as a result of Ohio and Iowa’s storms, but one death has been reported after a tornado hit a small Illinois town. (deb)
