Martha Stewart recall: flying metal discs from frying pans
Flying metal discs from frying pans. And that’s…not a good thing.
If you were excited to receive a 10-piece stainless steel cookware set from the Martha Stewart Collection for Christmas, simmer down (pun intended). It turns out that use of two of the frying pans could cause injuries including bruises, burns and / or welts.
bon appétit
Use of the 8-inch and 10-inch pans included in the set could pose a risk to consumers due to stainless steel discs covering rivets that attach the handles to the pans. There have been reports of the discs flying off during cooking and three people have suffered minor injuries.
The pans were sold at Macy’s and Military Exchange stores between January of 2011 and September of this year.
Refunds are available.
