New laws went into effect this week directly impacting Ohio’s teen drivers. Under the new regulations, drivers under the age of 18 with a probationary license cannot operate a vehicle with more than one non-family member in the car during their first year of driving. And ALL passengers in the car are required to wear seat belts. Those drivers are also not allowed behind the wheel between the hours of midnight and 6am unless they’re accompanied by a parent or guardian. This holds true unless the teen driver has an exemption of some sort for work, school or church. (jj)
