In welcome news for low-income residents of Franklinton, a non-profit grocery store could be opening its doors there in the future. Lower Lights Christian Health Center says that they have had designs on doing just that for awhile and by early 2016, it may become a reality. A rep for the group says that anyone would be able to shop at the market, but they would cater to low-income residents in the area by accepting food stamps and by offering special discounts to people who make below 200 percent of the federal poverty line.
