Oh! Luigi: Columbus adds life to game developers
Columbus wants to level up its game development. Lumos and Multivarious Games LLC are teaming up in hopes of securing a 15,000 to 20,000 square foot space that’ll be the Midwest’s largest video game studio and business incubator. Aside from housing startups, there are plans for the space to also be used for hackathons and design and coding classes. They’re currently looking at space in the Short North or downtown, but also keeping an eye on Franklinton and Dublin, where Multivarious Games is based.
Between this move for more game designers and the push for more movies to be filmed in Columbus, maybe we can convince Netflix to film their next video game-adaptation here. (deb)
