Olde Towne East church feels pane of window thievery
The Old First Presbyterian Church on Bryden Road is the oldest church in Columbus (founded in 1806). The congregation takes a lot of pride in their house of worship. So it was with much sadness that they discovered this past week that a visitor(s) to the church in Olde Towne East had violated commandment number 8: ‘thou shalt not steal.’
Three of the church’s stained glass windows have been taken. And it appears that the thieves were brazen enough to use the church’s own ladder to commit the crime. Old First Presbyterian is asking for help in getting their windows back and is also asking for prayers for the people that took them in the first place. (jj)
