Columbus Police are on the look out for a meat thief. Authorities have four outstanding arrest warrants for 46 year-old Ralph Reynolds. Reynolds is accused of stealing large quantities of meat from local grocery stores. In most cases, he allegedly fills a shopping cart with an assortment of roasts, steaks, spare ribs and the like and then walks right out the door without paying. The average haul in each case has been valued at around $150. Authorities do not suspect that Reynolds wants the beef to satisfy his own palate. They believe that Reynolds resells his ill-gotten goods…his second-hand meat, if you will.
Anyone with information on Reynolds’ location is asked to notify authorities. (jj)
