Pup of the Week: Marcus

marcus1614Now has partnered with the CHA Animal Shelter to put some focus each week on a cute pup up for adoption.

Quick note: the shelter wants to remind everyone about their $5 Feline Friday special. All cats and kittens have a $5 adoption fee every Friday from now through Thanksgiving. Also, there is a special event this Saturday (10/3)…Adoption on the Lawn from noon to 5pm at MARS petcare (5115 Fisher Road on the West Side). This is a fun event for the family and plenty of animals up for adoption will be on site.

Now…let’s take a look at Marcus.

marcus2Marcus is a 2 year-old Brittany Spaniel mix mix. He weighs around 35 pounds and is described as an energetic and playful boy. He loves spending time outside and would be thrilled if he lived with an outdoorsy family.

Marcus’ adoption fee is listed at $150. He is up-to-date on all of his shots, and has been neutered and micro-chipped. Adoption fees go right back into the shelter to help care for animals continuing to wait for their new homes.

Learn more about Marcus and the other great animals at CHA on their website.

More about CHA Animal Shelter:

CHA Animal Shelter is a nonprofit animal shelter in northeast Columbus, Ohio (3765 Corporate Drive). CHA is funded solely by donations from adoption fees, donations from the public, and various other fundraising efforts. Their mission is to serve the people and animals of Central Ohio by providing safe, temporary shelter and care for abandoned or otherwise homeless cats and dogs, and to reduce pet overpopulation by means of spay and neuter, education, and community outreach. They have been fulfilling that mission since 1975.

Adoption fees are designed to help offset a portion of the cost of food, shelter, and medical care for each rescued animal.  (jj)
