And in news that makes you do a double-take: on April 16th, a man walked into the Hard Road Cafe around 12:30AM carrying a samurai sword. He then (according to the affidavit for Columbus Police’s search warrant), “began swinging the sword around and threatened the bartender and a customer.” A bar patron tried to calm him down and get him to leave out the front door, but as the bar patron tried to get the man out, the sword hit him and cut his wrist. The man was arrested the next door on a felonious-assault charge and told police they could find the sword inside his truck, which was parked near his parents’ house. (deb)
