Signs of a move, Dispatch looking for new offices
Reports say that The Columbus Dispatch is preparing to vacate their longtime downtown offices at 34 South Third Street. The building was not included in the recent sale of the newspaper to GateHouse Media.
Newspaper staff may find themselves moving into the building at 62 East Broad Street. GateHouse purchased that property when they bought the newspaper. Wherever they move, the paper would like to take the iconic neon “Ohio’s Greatest Home Newspaper” sign with them and say that if it’s possible to do that, they will. (GateHouse owns the sign.) Otherwise they may try to work out an arrangement to keep it lit at 34 South Third. (jj)
