Snobs? Six local communities make list of “snobbiest” cities in the state

snownowThe website Road Snacks bills itself as a service that shows the sides of places that not everyone wants to see. Recent “info” provided by Road Snacks has included lists of the 10 drunkest cities in Tennessee and the 10 most boring places in Massachusetts. Now they’ve released a list that may cut a bit too close to home. Here’s a look at Road Snack’s Top 10 Snobbiest Cities in Ohio. Some of you may want to brace yourselves. Central Ohio owns six spots in the order.

  1. The Village Of Indian Hill (near Cincinnati)
  2. New Albany
  3. Pepper Pike (near Cleveland)
  4. Montgomery (near Cincinnati)
  5. Powell
  6. Hudson (near Akron)
  7. Dublin
  8. Granville
  9. Bexley
  10. Upper Arlington

In compiling the list, Road Snacks says that they used the following criteria:

  • Median home price (higher is snobbier)
  • Median household income (higher is snobbier)
  • Percent of population with a college degree
  • Private schools per capita (higher is snobbier)
  • Theaters per capita (higher is snobbier)
  • Art galleries per capita (higher is snobbier)

Well…pardon us for having brains, culture and a little bit of dough.

Road Snacks says that the list is all in good fun. And what a time we had! <sigh>
