In a speech at Columbus State on Wednesday, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced increased efforts to deal with sexual assaults on college campuses. At least $3 million will be provided to bolster victim advocacy programs on campuses and to link those programs with services in the community. In addition, courses will be offered this summer for campus police to learn advanced techniques for handling sexual assault investigations. DeWine also stressed a need for college and university authorities to work closely with local law enforcement in assault investigations. (jj)
