The Short North’s new jewel
The shining new storefront that you may have seen in the Short North is Store 5a (765 North High Street). Billed as the place to go for ‘affordable recycled jewelry,’ Store 5a is backed by the Diamond Cellar. All items in the store (jewelry, engagement rings, watches, handbags, etc…) have been inspected and refurbished by the expert craftspeople at the Diamond Cellar, so we’re talking about good stuff.
Andy Johnson of the Diamond Cellar says that many of their clients have been purchasing jewelry for nearly 70 years and as they downsize those collections, the company has been able to repurchase some of those items. And that’s how Store 5a ends up with most of its pieces.

Store 5a has been an online venture for the last two years and now the doors are open in the Short North!
