Traffic Alert: I-71 Jeffersonville crash + I-270E reopens

This morning, two semis crashed into each other on I-71 near SR 72 in Greene County, leaving one of the drivers dead. The northbound lanes of I-71 (just south of Jeffersonville) have been closed as troopers process the crash. Drivers are being rerouted off I-71 at SR 72 and told to take SR 72N to US 35E to get back onto I-71, which is a 20 minute detour. Police are uncertain of when the lanes will reopen.

The eastbound lanes of I-270E, off of US 23, were closed this morning after an accident. The crash happened around 12:32AM, and luckily no injuries were reported. As of 2:30AM, the lanes were reopened. (deb)
