“We’re going downtown,” from the airport in 2016

If there’s one debate/rant/conversation that’s always circling Columbus, it’s the lack of a (direct) COTA line to and from Port Columbus Airport. But it looks like that might no longer be the case. At yesterday’s Port Columbus development meeting, plans were announced for a new COTA line that will run directly from Downtown to the airport. And while the route won’t be in place until 2016, nor or specific details set, the line will more than likely service Downtown hotels and the Convention Center and will use I-670.
Hm…maybe with this new line, Columbus doesn’t really need that light rail after all. (deb)
