Second location planned for Pins Mechanical Company

Second location planned for Pins Mechanical Company

In spite of the fact that the first Pins Mechanical Company doesn’t have so much as an opening date, a second location for the throwback gaming bar has been announced at Dublin’s Bridge Park.

Owner Troy Allen, who also runs 16-Bit, is capitalizing big-time on nostalgia, envisioning a space for pinball, duckpin bowling, shuffleboard and ping pong, in addition to schoolyard games like tether ball and four-square.

The second location for Pins Mechanical Company will be at the corner of Riverside Drive and Banker Street, set to open at the end of next summer.

3/4/16: Pins Mechanical Company: new concept from 16-Bit owner

16-Bit arcade bar has been a hit with fans of retro video games, but the newly announced Pins Mechanical Company takes a different approach by showcasing even older analog counterparts.

Complete with pinball machines, duckpin bowling, and shuffleboard, the new concept from 16-Bit owner Troy Allen takes old school to a whole new level at a huge $1.5 million, 16,000 square-foot venue on 141 N. 4th St., to open late this summer.

There are set to be 10 duckpin bowling lanes, between 35 to 45 pinball machines, shuffleboard, four-square courts, tether ball, foosball, and ping pong.

That’s what I call good, clean, American fun.

The building, which was most recently a National Tire and Battery shop, is set to undergo extensive renovations to convert it into a hip, modern space with a full-service bar.

With a projected capacity of about 750 people, Pins Mechanical Company is Allen’s biggest Columbus venture yet.
