De La Soul is Playing a Free Show Tonight

De La Soul recently announced it would be performing a free concert at Express Live on Friday, Oct. 28.

“As we have seen around the world, non-participation in the electoral process represents a serious threat to the notion of citizenship at home and abroad. Global Citizen is excited to get out and mobilize young people in key states to use their voice,” said Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans in a press release announcing the concert.

Other acts:

  • D.R.A.M.,
  • Chord Overstreet,
  • Nick D’ & the Believers
  • The Fort Hayes Metropolitan Education Center Band.

De La Soul has been going strong since their 1989 debut, including a 2016 release, “and the Anonymous Nobody” featuring Jill Scott, Damon Albarn and even David Byrne of the Talking Heads.

Doors open at 2 p.m. for the all-ages show.
