Axl Rose to front AC/DC in Columbus show

After AC/DC lead singer Brian Johnson heard from his doctor he could risk “total hearing loss” if he continues touring with the hard-rocking band, he pulled out, and a Columbus tour date had to be cancelled.

But, a new date has been announced, along with a new frontman.

Guns N’ Roses lead singer Axl Rose will be finishing out the remainder of the tour with the band, including a rescheduled Columbus date on September 4.

Any tickets purchased for the original March 23 show will be honored at the event.

3/8/16: Gods of rock AC/DC postpone tour dates due to… hearing loss

Australian rockers AC/DC have postponed the remainder of their current tour due to lead singer Brian Johnson’s possible hearing loss.

Johnson would risk total hearing loss if he finishes out the tour’s remaining 10 dates, according to his doctors.

It’s not very surprising; it’s not very rock n’ roll, but sometimes you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do.

The dates include a March 23 show in Columbus that’s been postponed. Rescheduled dates have not yet been announced.

And unfortunately, the rescheduled shows will likely be performed with a guest vocalist, according to a statement released by the band.

It makes you wonder, if you’re already on the “Highway to Hell,” why not just ride it out?
