The Basketball Bucks sealed a huge win against the number eight-ranked Hawkeyes in the final seconds of the second half, when Keita Bates-Diop denied a possible game-tying layup from behind, resulting in a 68-64 finish.
Though a second remained on the clock, the home team’s bench was already celebrating their win at The Schott.
Bates-Diop and Marc Loving were two of the game’s key players, with 19 and 25 points, respectively.
The Buckeyes’ last game of regular-season play is against the Michigan State Spartans in East Lansing this Saturday.
