Blue Jackets’ Winter Park Open for 2017 Season

The Columbus Blue Jacket’s Winter Park located across from the Nationwide Arena is now officially open until February 26th.

The NHL sized rink is open once more for public skating and hockey events. For five bucks, skaters get skate rentals and as much ice skating as their frozen, uncoordinated limbs can muster.

Last year, Winter Park attracted more than 16,000 skating participants over the month-long run, and the park is open to everyone, making it a great family attraction.

Still that’s not the most exciting part of this park — This year the Blue Jackets are introducing Mad River Mountain Tubing Hill, a two lane tubing activity that is free of charge and totally kid friendly.

They’ve also added a rink-side heated tent, bleacher seating for approximately 250 people, a skate rental tent, four heated locker rooms, and a video board near the rink that will show Blue Jackets games on select weekends.
