Alabama may have taken the national championship, but Ohio State’s football team won’t be bested when it comes to dollars and cents; it has the highest worth in the country at $947 million. Next in line is the University of Texas with an $885-million value, followed by the University of Michigan with $811 million.

OSU’s football revenue spiked last year by 27 percent, earning the athletics department an additional $27 million, as reported by Columbus Business First.
