Forget the flask: Buckeyes to sell beer throughout Ohio stadium
Beer and football go together like scarlet and grey–they’re just made to be. And from the looks of things, football Saturdays at Ohio Stadium will be getting a little more “festive.”
This football season beer will be sold throughout Ohio Stadium on football Saturdays.
Really, we’re not kidding.
The pocket flask will soon be a thing of the past. The $12 Bud Light is the future.
Though details such as the price and the kinds of beer to be sold haven’t been announced yet, Ohio State did announce where the funds would be going.
$300,000 in revenue will be used to fund two new year-round Ohio State Police Department positions (they’re gonna need them), and $50,000 will be donated to he Ohio State University Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Drug Misuse Prevention and Recovery. Don’t think we need to explain the irony here.
Additional revenue will go to the athletics department to fund scholarships for student-athletes.
If (or when) you decide to partake in The Shoe, please be respectful of the other fans and drink responsibly.
