The Columbus Blue Jackets utterly destroyed the Devils last night at Nationwide arena, pulverizing the New Jersey team into a fine, unidentifiable powder 6-1 at the end of three periods.
The Jackets’ charge was lead by forward Nick Folingo, who had a huge resurgence in the form of a hat trick after struggling to score all season. The team captain scored only six goals up until last night, when he added three more to his total, and an assist.
The game was practically over before it started, with the Jackets laying down an unanswered three points in the first period.
Next up for the Jackets are the Florida Panthers, who take the ice at 3 p.m. Saturday.
