James, Irving clinch win for Cavs

Last night fans of the Golden State Warriors left Oracle Arena in Oakland, California dismayed, much to the enjoyment of LeBron James and the rest of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Cavs ended up on top last night with a final score of 112-97, thanks largely to James and teammate Kyrie Irving, both of whom scored a whopping 41 points–the first time two teammates topped 40 points in the same NBA Finals game.

A notable absence for the Warriors was star power forward Draymond Green, who was suspended after a flagrant foul and subsequent inappropriate remarks after game four.

Green returns for game six, which will be played in Cleveland on Thursday night.

The Cavs are trailing in the series 2-3, so they’ll have to win two more to snag the championship. Otherwise, Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors will be repeat NBA champs.
