Maurice Clarett was scheduled to appear in a Morrow County courtroom this morning to answer to an OVI charge. That did not happen. Instead the hearing was delayed due to a scheduling conflict with the former Ohio State running back’s defense attorney.
Clarett was cited on Sunday after being reported by another motorist on I-71. That person reported seeing the former football star’s vehicle being driven erratically and in a dangerous fashion. Clarett declined to take a field sobriety test. He received citations for OVI and a turn signal infraction.
A new date for the hearing has yet to be set.
