Sam Gagner Goes to Blue Jackets for $650,000
Blue Jackets scored Sam Gagner for the low, low price of $650,000 for a one year deal with the team.
Jarmo Kekelainen, General Manager of the Columbus Blue Jackets had this to say,
“Sam has scored 350 points and played in 600 games in the NHL and is still a young player who can be a solid contributor on our team,” said Kekalainen. “He is a talented, right-handed shot center who will add to our skill and depth at that position.”
Gagner previously played with the Philadelphia Flyers. Last season he was able to put up eight goals and eight assists in 53 games. Prior, he played seven seasons for Edmonton and one for Arizona.
Many Blue Jackets fans on facebook are excited about the draft, commenting on the great price for his experience.
Let’s hope he brings something new to The Blue Jackets this season.
