While the secret to their success has been disputed, many are pointing to the fact that they’re actually practicing less.

“I think we spend too much time coaching ’em, too much time in meetings and we’re pounding our chest thinking we have to do it all the time,” said Jackets head coach John Tortorella to ABC6.

On whether he cares if other teams are jealous or upset the Blue Jackets get to take it easier, Tortorella said “I don’t give a crap what other teams think.”

The Blue Jackets are set to play the Calgary Flames on Friday in the Scotiabank Saddledome, the most ridiculous sounding arena in the history of the world.
