Weekend Highlight: The Receiver bring flowing vibes to Brothers Drake

The Receiver is comprised of brothers Casey and Jesse Cooper, two musicians with an attention to precision and a close interplay between one another that can only be achieved by growing up together.

Composer, bassist, and vocalist Casey Cooper shapes his songs into lengthy jams, backed by a battery of atmospheric recorded tracks and synthesizers, while drummer Jesse Cooper lays down intricate beats.

The duo signed to London-based KScope records last year, and is embarking on a 100-plus date tour in the coming weeks that is slated to last until the end of July.

The music showcases a wide range of style, from overpowering electronic sounds to delicately lilting chords, proving to be equally enjoyable for the casual listener and the music guru.
