Former OSU Football Players Open New Grill Restaurant

There’s a new grill joint in town and it’s run by former Buckeyes Football players. Sounds like a dream.

The Pit Barbecue Grille will open this Saturday just hours after OSU kicks off the football season against Bowling Green, according to a Columbus Dispatch article.

It’ll be located in the Linden neighborhood, and will be serving up everything from Polish boys to pulled pork and the classic mac and cheese. Prices are pretty reasonable with platters at $10-12, and the owners,Chimdi Chekwa and Bryant Browning — along with friends D’Andre Martin and Mike Johnson, said their location was chosen to serve the mostly fast-food neighborhood.

The owners said they’ll also have a special sauce that’s unique to their restaurant — I’m getting hungry already.

Take a moment to check them out after the game on Saturday, you might just find your new favorite bbq place.
