GoreMade Pizza: Italian Village’s New Pizzeria
Italian Village can’t truly be Italian without cherry picked pizzerias and GoreMade Pizza is there to blow your socks off.
They officially open tonight, their menu was decided on today, and they’re playing the pizza game on their toes as they welcome you to the pizza experience that Columbus needs.
“I was tired of being a gypsy pizza restaurant, we deserved a location, I think we earned our pizza stripes,” said Nick Gore, owner and imaginator of curated, handmade pizzas served at GoreMade (“welcome to the cleverness of our name”) Pizza.
The restaurant was born out of a Facebook post calling for a new Italian inspired restaurant to open in Italian Village, and Gore answered the call almost immediately. “Two-ish” years later and here he is, welcoming Columbus with open arms…sort of.
“We actually didn’t want to announce that we were opening, we wanted to just quietly turn on our ‘open’ sign, but we’re bad at keeping secrets,” said Gore.
Tonight, you can expect Gore to give you pie tastings that will give you a tour of what their pizza (which is baked in a real-deal italian oven) is about. So no, you can’t just order a plain pepperoni pizza.
Their regular menu will still be available tonight but Gore hopes he can get people out of their comfort zones with his tasting menu and charcuterie array.
Doors open at 5 PM. Follow them on Facebook for more details and updates, and read their hilarious blog on their website.
