Land-Grant’s Boozy Birthday Party

Land-Grant’s Boozy Birthday Party

It’s Land-Grant Brewing Company’s second birthday this year and they are throwing the bash of their life to celebrate on Saturday, October 22nd, starting at noon. It’s even a charitable party, where the benefits go towards the Franklinton Gardens that help make our city so gosh darned pretty.
There will be beer of course, but not just a fountain of Land-Grant, they’re partnering up with other favorite craft brewers like Little Fish, Rhinegheist, Rockmill, and Seventh Son.

“It’s been said time and time again that the brewing community is a tight-knit one. And that’s absolutely true,” says Land-Grant President Adam Benner, “we’ve been fortunate enough to collaborate, conspire, and raise pints with a lot of fine folks over the past two years, and this is one small way of showing our gratitude. In many ways it feels like the doors opened yesterday, but in others it feels like we’ve been at this for a while. Either way it’s been a wild couple of years.”

And just because they’re so good at it, Land-Grant has gone and brewed a handful of special beers just for the occasion: Bourbon Barrel Aged Deep Search Baltic Porter, Bomb-Pop 1862 Ale, Double Dry Hopped Greenskeeper, Son of a Mudder Brown Ale with Hoof Hearted Coffee, and an Imperial Brown Ale aged in Maple Bourbon Barrels from Middlewest Spirits. It’s not a complete list, but they like to keep it mysterious and exciting, so you can find a more complete list on their website, or wait ’till you get there because there will be even more beers added in the future.
Party goers can expect live performances from Colin Mills, The Interns, Doc Robinson, and Yellow Paper Planes, and the party will end with an outdoor screening of OSU vs. Penn State game.
The event is totally free. So why not go party with some of Ohio’s biggest brew heads?
