Ohio man found not guilty in Gwyneth Paltrow stalking case

A Los Angeles jury found a Columbus native not guilty on charges of stalking Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow on Wednesday.

This was the second such charge against Dante Soiu, 66, who was previous found not guilty of stalking Paltrow by reason of insanity in the early 2000s, and committed to a mental institution.

Soiu testified he continued to write to Paltrow to ask for her forgiveness for previously sending her lewd messages and sex toys, and that he was a changed man.

Soiu said he never intended to scare her, but Paltrow said that she felt very upset by Soiu’s second batch of letters, and that they defied logic.
